Deputy Game Warden George Jackson Rodolph, aged 23, tragically lost his life on November 29, 1914, in Gadwall, California. He was fatally shot while performing his duties on the Los Banos Gun Club preserve, located approximately five miles southeast of Los Banos in Merced County.
