On August 22, 1928, Mrs. Wong Gee Tong, aged 38, was tragically murdered in Fairfield, California. The incident occurred on the Bryan ranch, where she lived with her family. The perpetrator, Leung Ying, also known as Loy Yeung, was a former employee of the ranch. Ying had been dismissed from his job earlier that year for allegedly assaulting or having an affair with Mrs. Wong Gee Tong's daughter, Nellie.
