Dr. Victor Masashi Ohta, a prominent ophthalmologist, was tragically murdered on October 19, 1970, in Soquel, California. The gruesome discovery was made when firefighters responded to a blaze at his hilltop home. Upon arrival, they found the bodies of Dr. Ohta, his wife Virginia, their two sons Derrick and Taggart, and his secretary Dorothy Cadwallader in the family’s swimming pool.
