Sigurd Beiermann, a 62-year-old vagrant farm worker, met a tragic end on May 24, 1971, in Yuba City, California. His death was part of a series of brutal murders committed by Juan Corona, infamously known as the "Yuba City Slasher." Corona, a labor contractor, targeted vulnerable farm workers, luring them to isolated locations under the pretense of offering work.
