Versell Bennett, aged 58, tragically lost his life on April 22, 1973, during a violent shooting spree in Los Angeles, California. The perpetrator, William Ray Bonner, was a 25-year-old former service station attendant who embarked on a rampage that resulted in the deaths of seven individuals and injuries to nine others.
