Jack Murray, a country-western singer, was murdered on August 9, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. His death was part of a series of gruesome crimes committed by the notorious "Sunset Strip Killers," Doug Clark and Carol Bundy. The couple, who met in late 1979, embarked on a murder spree that targeted runaways and sex workers, fulfilling their shared violent fantasies. Clark and Bundy were regulars in the seedy bar scene of Los Angeles, where they lured their victims.
