Shauna May, a 25-year-old woman from Point Reyes Station, California, tragically lost her life on November 28, 1980. Her death was part of a series of brutal murders committed by David Joseph Carpenter, infamously known as the Trailside Killer. Carpenter's reign of terror spanned from 1979 to 1981, during which he targeted hikers in the Marin County and Santa Cruz County areas.
