Cynthia Moreland, an 18-year-old from Cotati, California, was tragically murdered on October 11, 1980, while hiking at Point Reyes National Seashore. She was with her fiancé, Richard Stowers, 19, when they were both shot to death. Their bodies were discovered on Mount Wittenberg, a popular hiking area.
