Janell Charlotte Jarvis, a 14-year-old girl from Redding, California, tragically lost her life on February 3, 1981. She was found dead alongside her mother, Donna Eckard, in their home in Mountain Gate, California, just off Interstate 5. Both victims had been shot multiple times in what was described as an execution-style killing. The brutal nature of the crime shocked the local community and prompted an extensive investigation.
