Leon Gaines, aged 56, was tragically murdered on September 30, 1986, in Los Angeles, California. His death was part of a series of killings attributed to Michael Player, infamously known as the "Skid Row Slayer." Player's spree of violence targeted primarily homeless individuals in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles. Gaines was one of the victims in this brutal series of attacks, which saw multiple individuals shot execution-style, often while they were sleeping or otherwise vulnerable.
