Gregg N. Lindamood, aged 43, tragically lost his life on December 7, 1987, in Cayucos, California, as a result of the hijacking and subsequent crash of Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 1771. Lindamood was the captain of the ill-fated flight, which was en route from Los Angeles to San Francisco. The incident was a mass murder-suicide orchestrated by David Burke, a disgruntled former employee of USAir, the parent company of Pacific Southwest Airlines.
