Douglas Milan "Doug" Arthur, aged 44, tragically lost his life on December 7, 1987, in a catastrophic event that shook the aviation community. Doug was a victim of the hijacking of Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 1771. As the Chief Pilot for Pacific Southwest Airlines, Doug was traveling off-duty as a passenger on the ill-fated flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
