Daniel Alan Pratt, a 30-year-old police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, tragically lost his life on September 3, 1988. Officer Pratt was killed in the line of duty during a drive-by shooting orchestrated by gang members. On that fateful night, Officer Pratt and his partner, Officer Veronica Delao Jenkins, were conducting an undercover stakeout at the Pine Liquor Store in South Los Angeles.
