Rebecca Lucile Schaeffer, a promising young actress, tragically lost her life on July 18, 1989, at the age of 21 in West Hollywood, California. Schaeffer, known for her role in the CBS sitcom "My Sister Sam," was shot and killed by Robert John Bardo, an obsessed fan who had been stalking her for three years.
