Detective Russell Lee Kuster, aged 50, tragically lost his life on October 9, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. Detective Kuster, who had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for over 24 years, was off duty and dining at a restaurant when the incident occurred. The suspect, identified as Bela Marko, had previously gotten into an argument with the restaurant owner and left the premises.
