James Wayne MacDonald, a 24-year-old reserve officer with the Compton Police Department, tragically lost his life on February 22, 1993, during a routine traffic stop in Compton, California. MacDonald, along with his partner Officer Kevin Michael Burrell, was conducting a vehicle stop on a red Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Dwight Avenue.
