Monica Lynne Leech, aged 39, tragically lost her life on April 28, 1997, in Thousand Oaks, California. On that fateful day, Monica, a bank teller at Western Financial Bank, was fatally shot in the back of the head during a robbery. The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. when two armed men, disguised as construction workers, entered the bank.
