Javier Gomez, a 17-year-old Latino male, tragically lost his life on April 29, 2001, in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Javier was fatally shot at the southwest corner of St. Louis Street and City View Avenue. The incident left the community in shock and mourning, as the young man's life was cut short by an act of violence.
