William Robert Hunter, a 26-year-old deputy with the Butte County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on July 26, 2001, in Inskip, California. On that fateful day, Hunter and Lieutenant Larry Estes responded to a call involving a heated dispute between neighbors.
