On February 3, 2003, Lana Jean Clarkson, a 40-year-old American actress, was found dead in the Pyrenees Castle, the Alhambra, California mansion of renowned record producer Phil Spector. Clarkson had met Spector earlier that night while working at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. The two left together in Spector's limousine and went to his mansion. Later that morning, Clarkson was discovered slumped in a chair with a single gunshot wound to her mouth, and broken teeth scattered on the carpet.
