A late model Honda or Toyota drove by, made a U-turn, and shots were fired from the passenger side of the vehicle. Luna was killed instantly, and the 14-year-old was injured. Jeremy succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive.
The investigation into Jeremy's death was treated as a shooting death by the authorities. Detective Steve Suzuki of the Deputy Headquarter Bureau led the investigation.
