Maleka Higgins, aged 28, tragically lost her life on January 30, 2006, in a horrific incident at the USPS Mail Processing Facility in Goleta, California. Maleka was one of six postal workers who were fatally shot by Jennifer San Marco, a former coworker. The shooting spree began when San Marco, who had been on medical leave due to psychological issues, entered the facility by tailgating another vehicle through the gate.
