Anthony Wayne Owens Jr., a 25-year-old resident of Los Angeles, California, tragically lost his life on August 30, 2006. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Owens was fatally shot in the Watts neighborhood. The incident occurred on August 31, 2006, and his death was officially recorded the following day. The circumstances surrounding his death were particularly harrowing, as he was a young man with much of his life ahead of him.
