Raymond Cortez, a 16-year-old Latino youth from Paramount, California, tragically lost his life on December 2, 2007. The incident occurred on November 30, 2007, as Raymond was leaving Paramount High School. While walking from the crowded campus at Downey and 2nd Street, a car with two young men inside approached him.
