Manuel Mark Everett Benitez, also known by his stage name Mark Everett, was a former child actor who became a fugitive wanted by the FBI for the murder of his girlfriend, Stephanie Spears, in 2004. Benitez, born on September 28, 1969, in Coral Gables, Florida, was shot and killed by police officers on December 23, 2008, in El Monte, California, during a hostage situation.
