Alicia Ortiz, aged 46, tragically lost her life on December 24, 2008, during a horrific mass shooting and arson attack in Covina, California. The incident occurred at an annual Christmas Eve party held at the home of her sister, Sylvia Pardo. The perpetrator, Bruce Jeffrey Pardo, Sylvia's ex-husband, arrived uninvited at the party dressed in a Santa Claus suit.
