Steven John Alaniz Sr., a 50-year-old resident of Pomona, California, tragically lost his life on September 10, 2009. According to reports, Alaniz was found in the backyard of a residence located in the 800 block of North Eleanor Street. He had been shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 8:15 p.m. The Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds.
