In the turbulent year of 2017, a year that saw Baltimore reel from one of its highest homicide rates on record, the life of 26-year-old Brandon Lucas was tragically cut short. On the evening of Monday, May 15th, just days before the city's celebrated Preakness Stakes, Lucas was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 3300 block of Spaulding Avenue.
