Gumaro Carrillo Velazquez, a 61-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on February 12, 2010, in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Velazquez was standing in front of a residence on the 1300 block of East 42nd Street when an assailant approached him and shot him in the head.
