Brian Desheilds, a 47-year-old Black or African American man, was a familiar and outgoing presence in his Baltimore community, known as a "jack of all trades" who would readily help anyone he could. His life was cut short on the night of May 19, 2017. At approximately 11:03 p.m., in the 1800 block of St. Paul Street, Desheilds was the victim of a fatal attack.
