Brian Desheilds, a 47-year-old Black or African American man, was a familiar and outgoing presence in his Baltimore community, known as a "jack of all trades" who would readily help anyone he could. His life was cut short on the night of May 19, 2017. At approximately 11:03 p.m., in the 1800 block of St. Paul Street, Desheilds was the victim of a fatal attack.
He was discovered with multiple stab wounds.
Emergency services transported him to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in a desperate attempt to save his life. Tragically, despite the efforts of medical staff, Brian Desheilds succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
