Francisco Ponce, a 17-year-old from Los Angeles, California, tragically lost his life on January 23, 2011. The incident occurred a day after he was shot near 49th Street and San Pedro Street in the South Park neighborhood. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Ponce died from a gunshot wound. The shooting took place around 11 p.m. on January 22, 2011, and Ponce was immediately transported to White Memorial Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.
