Kristy Ann Roby, a 32-year-old woman from Los Angeles, was tragically killed on April 29, 2011. The incident occurred near 57th Street and Wilton Place in Chesterfield Square. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, officers responded to a shooting call around 12:15 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Roby unresponsive with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a parked car.
She was immediately transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Roby was sitting in the driver’s seat of a 2011 silver Hyundai Elantra, accompanied by a male passenger. Witnesses reported that two black males in a black 4-door Infiniti sedan drove past the parked car, made a U-turn, and pulled up next to Roby's vehicle. The men rolled down the passenger window and fired multiple shots at Roby, hitting her several times before speeding away from the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and no arrests have been made in connection with her death.
In the years following the incident, the Los Angeles Police Department has continued to seek information from the public to solve the case. A $50,000 reward was offered for information leading to the identification and conviction of the individuals responsible for Roby's murder. Despite these efforts, the case remains unsolved, and the community is urged to come forward with any information that could assist in bringing justice for Kristy Ann Roby and her family.
