home from work.
However, as the investigation progressed, Viktor Glukhovskiy, a civilian employee with the Los Angeles Police Department's Security Services Division, was arrested and charged with the murders of his wife and son. The charges included two counts of murder with special circumstance allegations of multiple murders, lying in wait, and murder for financial gain. These charges made Viktor eligible for the death penalty. The criminal complaint specified that a shotgun was used in the killings, and Viktor was held on a $2,000,000 bail.
