Joseph Beau Lewis, a 22-year-old man from San Pedro, California, was tragically found dead on July 29, 2011, in Rancho Palos Verdes. His body was discovered by hikers at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park, near trails leading to the ocean. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Lewis had been shot multiple times in the upper torso. The discovery of his body around 10 p.m. marked the beginning of a complex investigation into his untimely death.
