Miguel Angel Munoz, a 20-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on September 17, 2011, in Wilmington, Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, the incident occurred in the 700 block of East L Street. Officers responded to a report of gunfire near L and McFarland streets at approximately 12:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Munoz wounded on the ground. He was subsequently transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, where he was pronounced dead.
