On March 19, 2016, Christopher Manuel Delatorre, a 30-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, was found dead in what authorities determined to be a gang-related homicide. Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Cameron Street in Long Beach after reports of gunshots in the early morning hours. Upon arrival, they discovered Delatorre with a gunshot wound to his upper torso, and despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Long Beach Fire Department.
