Carolina Ramirez, a 16-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on February 26, 2012, in Wilmington, Los Angeles. She was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting that also claimed the life of Meldrick Melgoza, another 16-year-old. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Bay View Avenue.
