On February 19, 2013, 26-year-old Jeremy Lewis of Fullerton, California, was fatally shot during a tragic series of events in Orange County. The assailant, 20-year-old Ali Syed, initiated his violent spree early that morning by killing a woman identified as Courtney Aoki in his Ladera Ranch home. Following this initial act, Syed embarked on a series of carjackings and shootings across multiple locations.
