Marcela Diaz Franco, a 26-year-old Latina, tragically lost her life on June 8, 2013, following a violent shooting rampage in Santa Monica, California. The incident occurred on June 7, 2013, when Marcela and her father, Carlos Navarro Franco, were at Santa Monica College to pick up textbooks for her summer classes.
