Jose Guadalupe Chavez Jr., a 42-year-old resident of Los Angeles, California, was tragically killed on July 22, 2013. Chavez was standing in front of his house in the 2000 block of Sheridan Street in Boyle Heights when a gunman approached him. The assailant asked Chavez where he was from before opening fire.
