Hans Kevin Arellano, a 22-year-old man from Santa Ana, California, died on July 30, 2013, after being shot by a Santa Ana police officer. The incident occurred following a disturbance at a restaurant, which led to Arellano fleeing to a nearby juice shop. According to reports, Officer Jessica Guidry, a 13-year veteran of the Santa Ana Police Department, confronted Arellano outside the juice shop.
