Jose Luis Salgado, a 28-year-old Latino male, tragically lost his life on February 26, 2014, in Whittier, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Salgado was shot and subsequently found by Whittier police responding to a call about a "man down" on Lambert Road. He was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.
