Daniel Alaniz, a 33-year-old Latino male, was tragically shot and killed on June 2, 2014, in Pacoima, Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. in the 13700 block of Hoyt Street. According to the Los Angeles County coroner's records, Alaniz died at the scene from gunshot wounds. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) indicated that the shooting was believed to be gang-related, a common issue in the Pacoima area.
