Juan Ceballos, a 20-year-old college student from Mecca, California, was tragically shot and killed on July 13, 2014. Ceballos, who was bisexual, was returning home from work when the incident occurred. He had just parked his car and was texting his younger brother to come outside when he was shot multiple times. His brother, Sergio, heard the gunshots and rushed outside, only to find Juan already dead. The shooting took place right outside their apartment on Dale Kiler Road in Mecca.
