Enrique Romero, a 39-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on July 24, 2014, near West 151st Street and South Maie Avenue in Compton, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, sheriff’s deputies were in the vicinity of West Compton Boulevard and North Dwight Avenue when they heard gunshots coming from a nearby neighborhood.
