Detective Michael David Davis Jr., aged 42, tragically lost his life on October 24, 2014, in Sacramento, California. Detective Davis was a dedicated member of the Placer County Sheriff's Office, having served for 15 years. On the day of his death, he was involved in a massive manhunt for the murderer of Deputy Sheriff Danny Oliver of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
