On the evening of December 5, 2014, 41-year-old Vietnamese-American man Thach Dien Thiet Duong was fatally shot outside the Golden King Café, located at 2650 Alum Rock Avenue in East San Jose, California. Surveillance footage captured two Asian male suspects approaching Mr. Duong from behind and shooting him multiple times without any apparent exchange of words. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack. Mr. Duong was pronounced dead at the scene.
