On December 22, 2015, Edgar Alvarez, 22, and Richard Anthony Palomares, 21, were taken into custody, also facing charges of murder and gang association. Another suspect, John Carlos Aguilera, Jr., 21, was arrested shortly thereafter. Despite these arrests, some suspects remained at large, prompting ongoing efforts by law enforcement to locate and apprehend them.
The case saw significant developments over the years, including the eventual arrest of Eric Sanchez-Padilla in August 2018, concluding a three-year manhunt.
