Keith Allen Cox, a 44-year-old man, was found dead on January 5, 2015, in a vacant lot located in the 2700 block of California Avenue, on the border of Signal Hill, California. His body was discovered by a passerby who was driving to work early that morning. Upon arrival, paramedics pronounced Cox dead at the scene at 7:44 a.m. An autopsy later revealed that he had died from a gunshot wound.
