Uimaitua Fernando Brooks, a 43-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, tragically lost his life on April 27, 2015. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, Brooks was shot in the 1800 block of South Longwood Avenue in Mid-City. The incident occurred shortly before midnight, and police responded to a call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a man holding Brooks in the street.
